April 14, 2010 venture fund “Softline Venture Partners” has launched a competition of ideas in the field of software development and Internet applications among the youth – Dev Generation 2010.
For two and a half months more than 130 teams from Russia, CIS and Baltic took part at the competition.

This season under Dev Generation was presented a special nomination from the Microsoft company – "Project with world potential”, which won our Pliq.me developers team.
There were many interesting, large-scale and really world potential projects, so we are especially glad to be a winner of the nomination.

Pliq.me 1.1 for iPhone is now available at Apple Store.

This new version primarily is intended to fix crashes (that happen on some devices) and minor bugs: multiple dispatch, white registration screen, problems with address book and others. We've been working a long time on this update and hope that there is no more things to fix. Further will be a cycle of updates with new functions.

Second, this version allows to register in a new more simple way - without any phone number and e-mail activations.
There were many problems with activation, that cause registration form troubles - so we decided to remove activation at all and a new version with maximum simple registration is in development.

Also there are some new functions in update:

• removing messages from Outbox;


• search in Address book;


• displaying of language in Recents.

For all Pliq.me users we recommend to update the program to make using of the service more pleasant and convenient.

There are 2 news for our users: good and ... good!

First, due to numerous requests Pliq.me withdraws all verifications: there's no need to activate phone number and e-mail anymore. No more codes! :)
Also, registration will be greatly simplified: only e-mail and password required!
To provide all these changes we are working on updates for every platform. Besides, new versions will have a SURPRISE FOR GOOGLE FANS ;)

Second, today we run new iPhone version of Pliq.me. It's waiting for approval in Apple Store now.
1.1 version contains such changes:

• phone number and e-mail activation disabled;
• fixed crashes: unfortunately because of differences between time zones amount first version crashes on some devices;
• minor bugs fixed;
• reminders temporarily disabled.

Attention Pliq.me users!

We are sorry for technical problems with the service: starting from 14.08 messages in Russian and in English couldn't be recognized because of the system failure after migration of data between servers. Now russian texts recognition is ok and we are actively resolving the problem with english messages.

To take away the need of typing and make communication faster and more convenient - these are the key goals of Pliq.me. Especially this is actual for SMSing. Let's take a look on how to send SMS via Pliq.me in details.

1) First, go to "Text" part of the menu. Choose a recipient of SMS from your contacts or enter a phone number manually.



2) Say the text of sms once recording screen appears. The duration of recording is 15 seconds.



3) Go to “Recents” page to monitor the status and the result of recognition.



Only a few actions are needed. As a result the recipient will get a suchlike SMS:

3 simple steps to send SMS: choose contact from the address book or enter phone number manually, say the text and push "Send" button.



After sending you can see the status and the result of recognition.



Sending e-mail

To send e-mails you need to add your mailbox.



Procedure of sending is simple: choose the recipient from the contacts list and dictate text of the message.



Working with web-services

To access web-services wia Pliq.me you need to add your account: just enter your login and password.
